Dr. J. Otto Kroesen, is assistant professor at the Technical University Delft, The Netherlands. He teaches cross-cultural entrepreneurship and intercultural communication and supervises projects of students in technology in developing countries. He has a Masters in theology and wrote a PhD on the ethical philosophy of Levinas and publishes on the language philosophy of Rosenstock-Huessy. His research focuses on the interface of values, society and technology, both from a historical perspective and related to development issues. A primary focus of his expertise and concern is the entrepreneurial growth of smallholder farmers and the gap between high-tech agriculture and low capacity smallholders. Recently he published a monograph with the title Cross-cultural Entrepreneurship and Social Transformation: Innovative Capacity in the Global South, 2020, Lap Lambert Academic Publishing, open-source accessible at ResearchGate.
